The club was formed in 1991 and currently has 24 members. We are based in Worsthorne, on the outskirts of Burnley in East Lancashire, on the edge of the South Pennine moors, On the Penine Bridleway - Mary Towneley Loop and are fortunate to have some of the best mountain biking in the region.
We meet at the Crooked Billet public house in Worsthorne, at 7.00 pm on Tuesday evenings for rides, which are mostly around East Lancashire or West Yorkshire. New members are always welcome, as are those who just want to see what the club is about. All we ask is that after 4 weeks riding with us you become a member. We cater for all abilities, and most weeks we run two rides, one for the experienced and one for the less so.
Every summer the club has a weekend away, giving members a chance to ride somewhere totally different. These are social occasions, so members are encouraged to enjoy themselves, and the rides are organised so that members of all abilities can take part.
We also run trips throughout the year to various areas of the North West, either at weekends or during the week, usually on Tuesday evenings.
We hold a number of social events during the year, such as curry nights or barbecues, and last year we ran the barbecue at Worsthorne Village Fete.
